Too Big for Comfort

Cory and i were watching our show on Sunday night, The Amazing Race, and at the same time we both looked up and saw this ENORMOUS spider crawl up our drapes and just chill there. It was huge. I would say to size it, it was as big as the base of an 8 oz glass. No joke. The picture does not give it justice. (To be honest i was pushing myself just to get this close for a picture. I was creeped out). Suffice it to say that neither of us was getting close enough to it to get it with a paper towel so as Cory said..."this is a job for the Duster Buster!!" Good call honey!

Pumpkin Time

Well, of course while at the pumpkin patch we had to get Macade his pumpkin. Since we get them so early in the month i know that if i cut them they will just go bad before Halloween. So I always just draw the face on with a marker for a few weeks then we make a Family night out of it before Halloween to carve our pumpkins. Macade was so excited all week. He won't let me put it ouside, he makes me keep it on the kitchen table where it was so he can see it "glow" and night. He even makes me light the candle during the day. It is so much fun!!!

Carving it. He loved taking all the pieces out of their spots and putting them back in. He called it a puzzle! Too Cute.
The Final product. Like i said before He is so proud of it. He woke up this morning and said "Mom we did a great job cleaning out the pumpkin, and Dad and i did a great job cutting him. He looks great!" And that it does!!!! Great work family!

My New Best Friend

The KidCo Food Mill is my new best friend. My mom brought it up with her for me as a little gift and i am in love with it! I still do my bulk food grind in the food processor where i cook up a bunch, grind it all and freeze it for quick, ready meals. But now i have shifted his eating schedule so that Braxton eats dinner with us and gets all sorts of new foods. He has now gotten Chicken Enchaladas, Cheesy Brocolli and Chicken cassarole, Pork with yams and pineapple sweetened with a little brown sugar, and some cheesy pizza. He is loving it as much as i am. I just stick in whatever is on the table and presto...there is his dinner!!! So far he has eaten everything and has not stuck his nose up to anything!! I love this new little gadget!!!!!

Pumpkin Patch

This past week we headed out to the pumpkin patch to get in the mood for fall. Macade had such a great time with the Hay Bale maze and picking pumpkins and just hanging out on the Farm. It was really fun!

It seems like Braxton attracts everyones attention to us...even the goats!

Braxton loved playing with this pumpkin. He sat there for probably 10 minutes just pounding on it and playing with it. It was adorable!
