Fall Decor

I have picked up my mother's talent (although not nearly as well) with decorating. I love decorating the house and finding things to fill those little places with. New seasons are my favorite because then the house gets a makeover. so i am starting with the Fall decor. I have had it out for a while and my whole house has fall flowers, leaves, pumpkins. it is so fun and really cute. This is my latest project. I needed something for my dining room table. So here is what i came up with. it is so fun to be crafty!

Fire Day

Lakewood's Fire Department does a fire day every year. They have fire trucks and ambulances and city buses that the kids can play in and they have lots of activities for them. When all is done the kids get to go to their big pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin. Macade loved it there. It was so fun to see him explore all the different areas of the day!

With winter coming and the weather getting worse I decided that i needed to be more creative with things to do with my son. I can no longer just open the door and let him run in and out since its cold and wet. We can only go to the library so often and the park is kind of a downer when all is wet and its way cold outside. So i pull out the things i have been buying over time and try to get Macade as active as i can. we can only watch Finding Nemo so many times!

Our Cars Makeover

Well, just when we think that we can not get any more worse things happen to us it seems that God always finds something else to humble us and to build us. Today while Cory was driving between stores for work he was in an accident. He rearended someone and long story short, it was not totally his fault. But what can you do. So now this our new car until we get some estimates and get it fixed. Don't we just love life!! I think of Elder Wirthlin's talk this conference. "Come what may and love it." That is just what we have to do here. Yelling and cursing is not going to get it fixed so we litterally laughed about it and are moving on. It could have been much worse. And how can you not laugh when your son comes out and looks at it and says "Daddy's Car has an ouch!" Too cute!!

Holiday Treats

Alright, i love the holidays coming around because it gives me a great excuse to get into the kitchen and bake some treats. I don't do it for just us because then i usually am the one who ends up eating them all. So i make the fun festive treats and give them to friends! Yesterday for FHE we made Carmel Apples and gave them to friends. It was fun to get Macade and Cory in there working on them. Macade calls them Apple Treats. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas so i can make more!!!

Ode to the Library

So i have found that my favorite past time is reading. I can burn through a good book in a few days. I just have to give a shout out to the library. How can you get any better. Free book when you want, Any book you want, if they don't have it they will order it for you! It can be story book, or anything you feel like reading about such as cooking, gardening, decorating, children, etc. I take macade to the kids section and read with him and play with the puzzles and toys at least once a week. They have story time for the kids that we go to every wednesday and Macade loves it. i just have to encourage all who enjoy reading or are looking for things to do with your kids, head to your local library and check it out. they offer great things! I love the Library!!

"...Lets all Scream for Ice Cream"

one of our favorite places to go is Cold Stone. We love getting a big cup of something yummy and sharing it with all of us. Once a month, after Macade earning his outting, we go out before bed in our jammies and get some cold stone. Macade loves sharing with Daddy.

So Macade loves to call himself our helper. Whatever and whenever we are doing something he is there to join in and help. The surprise is that he really does help (most of the time!)

So we had our ultrasound today and are very excited to announce that we will be having another little BOY!!! Yeah! I can not wait for Macade to have a little brother to play with and to be great friends with. We are so excited! only 4 months left!!!!

UW vs BYU

Cory's dad once again got us good seats at a great event in Washington from his work. UW (University of Washington) was playing byu for the first game of the season. It was so much fun to watch. Macade loved it and was so good...even when it was during his nap...OOPS! it was a close game and we surrounded by UW fans of course but there were still alot of BYU fans too. it felt funny rooting for with the minority...oh well. Long story short...BYU WON!!! 28-27. It was a great game and the uw fans were POed you can imagine. they were blaming it on the refs and all. it was really funny. But we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day and a day with Cory's Parents. We love the day away!!

Weekend with Family

David and Lesley came up for Memorial Day weekend since they were done working for the summer. They are headed down to Cali and wanted one last visit before they left washington! It was fun but very laid back. We took walks by the water and went to a museum fort and just hung around. Dave and Cory played wii alot and cory loved it since i don't play with him that much he was glad to have someone else to play it with!

Boy or Girl??

so in exaclty 4 days we are able to find out what we are having. A boy or a girl? Cory is hoping for a little girl but we both would be happy either way. I wish i have taken pics of the belly lately but haven't. it has gotten big. For some reason i always show really early. With Macade i did and with this one am too but you know what! who cares, at least i look pregnant and not just fat right!! So on tuesday i will post what we are having. hold your breath till then!!
