To Grandmother's House We Go!

While Cory was enjoying his time in Ireland i took a little trip of my own to the Great California. I headed to my parents house so that i did not have to be alone in our big house all week. I don't like that idea. So macade and i headed on a plane the monday after Cory left and stayed there all week. it was great. Of course Grandma and Grandpa really enjoyed having their only grandson around. And let me tell you, Macade loves my mom. he will choose my mom over me. When we came home to him after errands or the temple, he would run to my mom first and give her a hug and kiss before me. Darn little boy! Grandma was eating it up!

My mom took him to the Clayton Library for some reading. I have one day a week that i take him to the library to read and play. So it felt like home to him! Very cute.

There is a new park now right in Downtown Clayton where the post office is and where the 4th of July parade is held. here he is playing at that park.

We headed off to Heather Farms park to feed the ducks. Macade loved it. I was afraid of the Geese. I was pretty much nervous the whole time when they came around. Macade thought nothing of it, he just threw the bread at them and thought they were so cool because they were as tall as him!

Trip to Ireland

Cory finally got his break that he truly deserves. For his graduate degree he was required to take a trip to a foreign country for his international business class. He had many choice his first being Vietnam, second China and third was Ireland. His first two did not work out, either full or not enough intrest so on March 21 he boarded a 6:30 am flight headed to Ireland. He says he really enjoyed it and brought back some great gifts for us of course. He got back on March 30th and said he loved every minute of it. Except being away from me and Macade, although i bet secretly he enjoyed that as well:) I got some of the pictures but i must say there are a lot so i picked some that looked interesting.

Cory's Group in front of a cool looking Castle. (I don't know the details)

Same Castle. Beautiful...we need some of these in the US

Cory and his Buds ate out every night in a different pub. he says the food is great. he says he joined his friends in a Pint but this pictures says otherwise....don't ya think!!!:)

When does it end??

So for those of you who are thinking of moving to the northwest, i would give that a second thought. Although it is beautiful here and some great things to do, the weather is the worst i have experienced. Even worse than Rexburg i think. It is never ending here. It is the end of April and we just had snow this last weekend and look at the forecast for the following week. I am going crazy. GET ME OUT OF HERE!!

Always Remember the Ups!

Life is full of its ups and downs. But the great thing about a camera is it always catches our good times. Then when we look at them we remember that our bad time will go away and the good ones will come back once again to lift us up.
Uncle Dave with Macade. It seems he always gets the easy travel.

Here is Macade with our good friends little boy. he was only a month old and Macade was so good with him. He would rub his back and his hair. It was so much fun to watch!

Macade got this big bear for christmas from Grandma Wright. He loves this bear. here he is giving him big bear hugs!

Daddy and Bubba love to lay together under the blanket on the floor and watch soccer.

Macade was not sleeping well this week and i wore him out this day. he has never fallen asleep in his high chair before. I must have really pooped him out! he crashed in the middle of lunch. Macade would never turn down food for anything.

More Christmas

I just wanted to post some of these pics. They are of when my fam was here for Christmas still. I just found them!

These were just some family pictures that we took. We do it whenever we get together.
We headed up to Northern Washington, right on the border of Canada. Our resort was right on the beach with a beautiful view. here we are just taking a walk at enjoying the time away.
If you know my mother she always has something planned for those down hours. Here are the girls working on a way cute craft project that she brought. Oh we are so cute

Chrismas 2007

Ok, so it has been quite a while since I have updated this thing. But i will try to play catch up. I wish i could show all of the pics i have over the last few months but i only have until Macade wakes up and that is not too long. No computer work can get done with that little rascle around:)

Christmas was a blast. My whole fam came up to Seattle to be with us. I held my parents, My sis, and David and his wife Lesley for a total of 7 people in my home. Yes i am a true hostess. I am quite proud. We had our christmas excitment and just hung around and enjoyed being together since that does not happen often since we are spread all over. Here are some pics of the great memories!!
We did our annual bowling trip. David and Cory tied with an average of 130 or something and ended up on the plaque at home. Very exciting!
We headed out to Seattle to the underground tour. I could not tell you exaclty what it is because i was dealing with my son who just wanted to run everywhere! But it was fun to get out and see new things. We just love being together.
Here are the hats i made for the boys for Christmas. They are all matching. They turned out so good. I just had to get a picture with Macade and his Grandpa and Uncle all matching! CUTE

1 year Pictures

So as you all know, Macade turned 1 in November. So it is time for his annual picture. Well this year our budget is a tad bit tighter so we are not going professional this year. I decided to try my own pictures. That went just swell. Macade would not sit still, he would not smile, it was a mess. But i did manage to get a few shots in. Here are some of my favorites, but i am going to touch them up a bit with that wonderful photoshop. Just soften the lighting, rid the redeye and such. But i must say, he is cutie. And they are decent for being taken by me. But we are going at it again so that we get a few in a different outfit. We will see if my patience will last.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas

So, it took me a while this year to get my decorations out, but they are done. We bought the tree this week and i finally got it all decorated along with all the cute things around the home. It just gets me in the holiday mood. Although our tree is looking a bit naked underneath. I guess i should pull out those gifts in hiding and wrap them up. Yeah, well that is going to have to happen when my little Macade is not around to rip the paper, pull the strings, carry the gifts and hide them somewhere to be found another day. Whew, the joys of a child.

Macade decided he was going to help me with the lights on the tree. He is mamas little helper.
Here is the finished product. I kind of like it.

And here is the fireplace all decorated cute. The bathroom and kitchen are done too but i did not feel like running around the house taking pictures. Sorry. But our little home looks so cute all done up!!

Happy Birthday

Macade turned 1 on November 1st. It was a fun day. We opened gifts, ate cake and ice cream and played with new toys. It was a fun day.

Ok, ok, i have to brag for a moment. The cake was made by me. All of it including the cake pan, and the frosting job. I am so proud of myself. It was really fun too.

First Halloween

Macade had his first halloween. It was so fun. We carved pumpkins with some friends a few nights before. Macade loved the pumpkins. He loved helping daddy clean out all the icky filling. We call them Pumpkin guts.

For Halloween he was a little puppy. And one cute puppy he was too. We went to our Ward Trunk-Or-Treat. We decorated our car and had spooky music playing. It was a fun halloween. Macade loved the back of the car.
