Mt. Saint Helens

For one last family camping trip of the summer, we headed up to Mt. Saint Helens with Cory's family. One night of camping and a day of exploring the volcano was so much fun. It has always been on my to-do list for Washington and i really enjoyed it. Too bad the top of the volcano was covered in clouds so we could not see the big crater. But we are planning on a trip next summer to the backside of the mountain and actually hiking to top and looking down. Now that i am WAY excited for!!!!

Here is a before and After picture of the Volcano. It was fascinating to learn all about it!

Cookin with Dad

The boys love to make No-Bake cookies. And not with mom, the request to make them with Dad! So at least once a month my 3 boys head into the kitchen to make a mess and have a blast. You have to love the memories!!!

First Day of School

Macade's first day of school was on September 14th. He is attending Little Church on the Prairie. He loves it. It is so fun to get him all ready in the morning and drop him off at school. A new experience for me and I love it. he is growing so fast it is bittersweet!!

First Words

Braxton has said his first word. "PEEZ" (Please). When he wants something we just say "what do you say Brax" and he follows with a PEEZ. He will also say it on his own at times when asking for something. It is so exciting and so adorable!

Date Night

We love to get together with our great friends the Pearson's and have our date nights together. sometimes we opt to bring our kidos along since they are all buddies, but this time we bagged the kids with some sitters and headed out for some Mini Golf. It was fun just to relax and enjoy the beautiful day which is few to none here in Washington this summer thus far. Although with Bryan there was not much relaxing...he had to show off his mad golfing skills!!

Cory trying to hit it up the hill. This one was a tricky one.
Celeste showing us how it is done while looking good!

Bryan showing us all up...of course!

Me and Celeste

The whole gang!

Bryan took first with me following in Second place. we even got ribbons (no picture on my camera). Celeste and Cory tied for last place and Bryan made sure to get two last place ribbons instead of a third and a fourth. I think he liked to Rub it in that they struggled:-)
After the great game we headed off to Cold Stone and enjoyed some delicious ice cream. All in All it was a fabulous night and are excited to the next one!

Toddler Moments!

1.
Lately Macade has been all about having another baby. He is always talking about a sister and how we need to get him and Braxton a little sister. Here was the newest convo I had with my silly guy:

Macade: Why are you not having French Toast with us this morning?
Me: I just don't want to.
Macade: Oh, because it is not on your diet.
Me: That's right. I gotta loose this chub
Macade (with a very excited tone to his voice): Oh, so that you can have another baby in your tummy. You can get my baby sister!!!

2.
Macade is growing too fast. I am always telling him this.

Me : Mac, you need to stop growing. you are growing too fast.
Mac: I can't stop growing.
Me: Why
Mac: Because i need to have food. You need to give me Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner everyday or else i will starve and then you can't enjoy me!
Me: Well that is a good point. So what if we just skip snacks and slow you down a bit!
Mac (with an exasperated look on his face): mom, those are the most important meals of the day!

3.
Me: Mac i love you with all my heart>
Mac: Mom i love you with a cherry on top
Me: Mac, i love you with whipped cream on top
Mac: I love you with a huge bite on top!!!!

All these convos were just this morning. Imagine these all day. What makes me get out of bed in the morning are my silly little guys. Worth every moment!!!!

3 Updates

I have been out for a little while but i am back. I just posted 3 new posts so be sure to scroll down if you have some time to waste!!!!

Boys will be Boys

The boys were out playing yesterday and about 15-20 minutes apart they both took head-first falls into the concrete. They are both sporting some tough bruises. You can't see Mac's too well but he has a HUGE goose egg probably the size of a golf ball. Brax's you can see better, his is a big scrape down his forehead. Poor little guys. But they were both very tough kids. We told Macade that the girls will love it. Now when he sees it in the mirror he says "I got this so the girls will love me." Such a funny kid! What can you do...boys will be boys!!!

Family Room Camping

Macade had wanted to go camping over one weekend but it had started to rain so we had to change our plans. Instead, we camped in the family room. The boys loved setting up the tent and playing in it. Not much sleep was acheived but it was still a wonderful memory they will hold!!!

New Activity

For my birthday Cory's parents bought me a new bike. For Cory's upcoming birthday we went in together to get him a bike. Then they gave us their childs bike trailer and the attachable tandom bike. So our new activity since the weather has been wonderful is biking. The kids love to go on bike rides wether it is down the street, around the lake, or by the water, they are in heaven and love it. It is a great family activity and i love doing it with them!

Here is Braxton in the bike trailer.
