Pumpkin Patch

This past week we headed out to the pumpkin patch to get in the mood for fall. Macade had such a great time with the Hay Bale maze and picking pumpkins and just hanging out on the Farm. It was really fun!
It seems like Braxton attracts everyones attention to us...even the goats!

She thinks my Tractor's Sexy!! (That one is for Cory!)

Here he is in the scare crow.

Braxton loved playing with this pumpkin. He sat there for probably 10 minutes just pounding on it and playing with it. It was adorable!

My two favorite little boys!!!

Puyallup Fair

We met up with our good friends Bryan and Celeste and their kids and hung out at the annual Puyallup fair on Friday. It was so much fun to watch the kids play together. Good times!

Bryce and Macade wanted to ride on the Canoes. Their favorite part was paddling, really they were just shoveling the water into the canoe with their hands getting eachother really wet. They were soaked the rest of the night. Very cute!

Bryce and Macade on the "Fast Cars". They were so cute they could hardly see over the steering wheels. Adorable.

Here are the three boys on the speed boats. Macade, Bryce, and Rix!

We were swapping kids a lot that night. Bryan took Braxton cause he was sick of his backpack, and Cory took Cole because he was sick of his stroller! (I even got a half smile out of Bryan. Pat on the back for me:-)

He is so darn cute!!!

And the Family shot. (ignore my WAY cheesy smile. That is what i get when i'm trying to get Macade to look at the camera and smile! Oh well!!)

Funny Kid

Macade is always saying funny things. Some of the things that come out of his mouth are so surprising for an (almost) 3 year old. Here are just a few!

-Mom, i would really appreciate it if you got me another drink.

-Can you do me a favor mommy?

-Dad, can you please pass the bread? (this is while eating dinner)

-I know where we can go today! To the park. Won't that be fun and exciting!!!

-(After using the bathroom) Mom can you come check my bum. Make sure i got all the poop, I don't want to smell like poop!

-Make sure we wash me in the bath. I don't want to be the stinky boy in nursery.

-Mommy, i smelled braxton and he has a huge poop. We need to change his bum because i don't want to smell him anymore!

This kid cracks me up. And this is just the tip of the iceburg. If i recorded my day and just listened to it before bed my abs would get a pretty good work out!!!

Here They Come

Braxton's first tooth broke through a couple of days ago and another one is following right after. The teething process is never fun but looking at them makes them so cute and almost worth it!

You see the one on the right (his left) it is still coming in but you can see it! Too cute.

Another fun update with Braxton...he is crawling. I will have to get a video of this up soon. He is everywhere and getting faster! He is much happier now that he can follow me and get what he wants! He is growing up so fast!

Cutie Pie

We were taking some pictures of the boys and i wanted to share some of my favorites. Ok. They are all of Braxton because macade was just not cooperating. He was more interested in throwing rocks...whats a boy to do?? But the pictures of Braxton are very cute!

Bucking Horsey

Its a little thing that Cory and Macade do before bed. Cory gets on his hands and knees and becomes a "Horsey". Macade climbs on and he rides off to bed. Well the other night i guess that Cory was not getting low enough and Macade could not get on. He had his bum too high in the air causing Macade to slide off, down Cory's back and over his head right into the edge of our couch. Lets just say we needed a serious wind down after this accident before bed!!!

You can see that his eyelid is all purple and swollen. My poor little guy!!

Bathtime Fun

I love to play with Macade in the bath. We have fun with all of his bath toys and the bubbles. The other day we gave ourselves bubble beards. He got a kick out of it, as did I.

Macade and Braxton decided they wanted a bath together. They had a lot of fun playing together in the tub! Too Cute! (And in these pictures you can totally see the difference in their skin color. Braxton is way darker than Macade. Kind of funny.)

Keeping Life Interesting

Macade is always making me laugh. I don't know where he comes up with some of the things that he says, but some of them are so cute and funny i had to share them.

1. When we are in the car listening to the radio or in the house i will sing along to the songs and so will macade if he knows the words. (which most the time he does). the other day i was singing to a song and macade looked at me and said "No mom, they don't need help." I just had to laugh. I guess my singing was ruining the song!!

2. I am trying to teach Macade some good manners. about 3 weeks ago he came up to me and asked for some water. It went a little like this:

Macade: Mom, would you mind getting me some more water
Mom: I can do that for you
Macade: I would really appreciate that.

He now says appreciate often and in the right context. Quite impressive.

3. Macade gets frustrated when we don't give him what he wants. What 3 year old doesn't. His newest thing is like the example that follows.

Macade: Mom can i play with Daddy's fast car (that would be his remote control car)
Mom: No baby, not today.
Macade: But why mommy
Mom: Because Daddy does not want you playing with it unless he is home.
Macade: But that would make me happy.

My usual response to this is "Well then you better go find something else that will make you happy."

4. Macade came out of the bathroom the other day and ran in to tell me what had happened.

Macade: Mom I got a poop out
Mom: Good job sweetie
Macade: It was a totally big poop!

He is 100% boy!!! Makes Cory proud!

Grandma's Little Football Man

My mom loves football. She always says that if one of her grandkids plays football she would not miss a game! Well, Braxton has the build of a football player. We say that Macade will be our soccer player because he is tall and lean and Braxton will be the football player because he is husky like one. Braxton loves this little football so i had to get a picture for Grandma. Be prepared to attend lots of games Mom!!

Last Minute and Lovin' it!

One of my friends just adopted their second son about 2 weeks ago. He is 5 months old and big like Braxton, so I love that someone else has a big boy like mine and they are the same age!! I just got a call yesterday that there is going to be a baby shower thrown for her and Dillan. So of course, any excuse to get together with a bunch of my girl friends i am there. But what to bring. Cory and I are on a strict budget and trying to be good at it. So I was not really able to go out and buy anthing for her. So I started my mind rolling and came up with a last minute gift from things around my home! A Diaper Cake. When Macade was potty trained i still had a TON of size 4 diapers that he did not use. Dillan will probably be in them in the next month or so like Braxton, perfect! I found some great blue and brown ribbon, perfect. I did have to run to the store to get the teddy bear for 3 dollars, but i figured i could choke on that:-) So here is my Diaper cake that i made for only 3 dollars!! Go Me. Very last minute but i am lovin it!!! Compliments welcome:-)

Cooling Off

Up here in Washington we have broken every record for summers past. We have had an insane heat wave hit our area causing many problems...one of which is EXTREMELY hot houses. Yes, there is no A/C in any of the homes here because there reallly is no need for them....usually. But this summer says different. This week we have not gone below 95 degrees. Tuesday it was 104 degrees here in Lakewood! Yes, imagine that with no a/c. Lets just say that my house was 89 degrees by 4:00 pm. It was 81 degrees by 9 am. And yes i am opening every window at night sticking all my fans in them trying to cool the house off. But that is hard to do when it only gets as low as 69 degrees at night. *sigh*. Needless to say it is hot, and miserable so Macade, Braxton, Cory and i sat out in our pool for a few hours just to cool off. It is sad when the city is celebrating when we see 85 degrees on the 5 day forcast. Ha Ha!
