"Cooking"

Macade loves to pretend he is cooking with his friends (his stuffed animals) I caught a picture of it. He brings out all of the silverware, his bowls and cups, and sets up his animals and pretends to cook and eat with them. Adorable!!

Cutie Pies

I love being a mom. And being a mom of 2 is twice as wonderful. Macade loves Braxton so much. He wants to help with everything. And he really is helpful, i dont know what i would do without him!! Life is an adjustment but very well worth it. I am figuring out the ropes quick though. It helps that i have 2 perfect angles for sons. Macade, if you know him, is so mellow and really an easy child. Braxton is like clock work already at 2 weeks and only wakes up once at night. He eats at 10pm, 3am, and 6:30am. then every 3-31/2 hours through out the day! he is happy and hardly cries unless he needs something. I am so blessed with good kids! I always say it is God bribing me to have more:-)

Macade helped wash Braxton. It was so cute to watch!!

Febrary 6, 2009

Starting at 2am in the morning on Friday the 6th i woke up with contractions. I was at home for about 2 hours and then headed to the hospital when they were 5 minutes apart and strong. After 5 hours at the hospital, 7 1/2 hours of labor and a lot of excruciating pain, Braxton Jonathan Ross was born at 9:35 am. 9 lbs 5 oz, 21.5 inches long. We are so excited to have another little boy in our family.

Just resting

Macade came to visit and he loves his new brother. He knew exactly who he was when he first saw him. They are adorable together!

Mom and Braxton. Love at first sight!

Still Counting!

So just a quick update since everyone is asking me. No i have not yet had the baby but soon. My due date is tomorrow, Friday the 6th. I saw the doctor again for the second time this week and am dialated to a 4. Just 2 days ago i was a 3 so things are moving fast! I am thinned out more than 50%. My doc commented that the baby is riding REALLY low! which means a fast delivery. And i must say i deserve a fast one since macade was 30 hours!! So the doc says he will be surprised if he does not come in the next day or so. But if not, i am scheduled to be induced on Sunday morning:-). I am so glad that there is an end in sight. I just want to hold him so bad. I can not wait. Wish me Luck!!

I just had to share a cute thing about Macade. He is so excited for his baby brother to come it is adorable. here is how our conversations go.

Mom: "Macade where is your brother?"
Macade: "In Momma's Tummy."
Mom: "What is his name?"
Macade: "Braxton"
Mom: "What is he doing in my tummy?"
Macade: "Poking his feet out!!" then in his very firm tone, "BE NICE TO MAMMA BRAXTON!"

We will have variations of this convo every day. it is adorable. many times he starts it my rubbing my tummy and asking if his brother is poking out! I love it.

Christmas Time

What a wonderful christmas. It is so much fun when Macade understands and is able to really participate and get excited about gifts and such.
We start out Christmas eve with our traditional one gift opening. Always PJs.

We woke up about 7 am and went out to see what Santa had brought us. Lets just say Macade must have been a really good boy this year!! He got a new train, a bike, tractors, little motorcycles, and much more.
Cory and Macade playing with Macade's new Fast Cars!
He got an animal train from Grandma Wright which he loves. He plays with it all over the house and loves to name the animals and make the sounds of them!
He got a vacuume of his very own. He loves to use this while i use the big one. He feels that he just helping so much. It is great!
His Giant Lego Blocks. He loves to build and create.
After the morning we headed out to Cory's family's house for more gift opening and a great christmas lunch! Once again Macade made out like a bandet! Then we headed back home to open the rest of our gifts and just have a wonderful relaxing day. It was wonderful! Cory Spoiled me with a new craft/sewing table and a TV for my bedroom. Cory made out with a new computer and a really nice razor to replace his that he has had since his mission. It was great to be together and share the spirit of Christmas together!!

For Real!?!

There are those days that you wait for the moment that you will look back and laugh. Well, yesterday was one of those days. I blog this in hopes that i will find humor in these moments.

The day started out just fine. Macade woke up at 7am and we started our day. Then we started to clean the house. From 8am to 12:30 i cleaned the house just like every monday. Then came lunch and nap. Finally settling down for a nap at 1pm and me following soon after, the day seemed just like anyother. Well, being 8 months pregnant cleaning makes my back hurt and me extra tired. So when i wake up to Macade crying an hour into his nap i was not too happy. But i go in there to check on him and he had thrown up all over himself and his bed. So i strip the sheets and put new ones on and clean him and change his clothes and tuck him back in for him to finish his nap. After throwing the stuff in the laundry i try to settle back down just to be woken again in 20 minutes. He trudges into my room and looks at me and throws up all over my bed and floor. I try to run him to the bathroom but of course he finishes his business all on my family room floor before i make it to our destination. Gross. So i strip him again and clean him and scrub my puke smelling floor.
After taking my comforter off and putting it in the laundry and settle Macade down on my bed and put in a movie and give him a sippy with some 7up to help settle his tummy I run to take a quick shower so i smell like a woman and not a victim of a childs vomit! 2 minutes later i get out and head into the room just to find that Macade had spilled his sippy of 7up all over my Down Comforter. Great. So while in my towel that does not quite cover me because of my prego belly i strip the duvet off and throw it in the laundry and change his clothes for the 3rd time just to come back to him throwing up all the 7up on my bedroom floor. You have got to be kidding. This is all in an hour time mind you. So i strip him yet again and scrub my floor and get me some clothes so i can stop trying to keep my towel up and finally settle him down. About 20 minutes later he askes for some water, hesitant since everything he puts down comes back up i gave him a little bit of water. Much to my not surprise, 20 minutes later he threw that one up too, at least on my kitchen floor.

So in an hour and a half time my child managed to throw up 4 times, get changed 5 times and make me wash about as many loads of laundry as i normally do 2 weeks. Yes it was an eventful day. When Cory came home he was feeling fine and dandy and my wonderful husband took him on a few errands and let me soak in the tub and just have an hour to myself. I hope that i can laugh at this day. It was very long and seemed as though it would never end and the morning came way too fast. Hopefully this day will be less eventful and more relaxing!

Potty Training...CHECK!

I have a huge list of things to do before the baby comes and seems i don't have enough time to do it all. Potty training was one that HAD to be checked off before the little one arrives! It was about a 6 day process from day one and Macade is able to potty on his own. 3 days he has gone with no accidents. He can tell us he needs to go and other times he needs to be prompted. But when prompted he does not resist and always goes. We are still working on the BM's but the initial training is complete. it was one of my goals and now i will not have to diaper two kids! That is a HUGE bonus! Way to go me!

Day 4, 5 and 6 count:

# of wet accidents: 0!!!!!
# of BM accidents: 2

Macade Potty Training--Day #3

Ok, so progress is being made...with everything i think. Macade is starting to gain control and is able to stop himself and hold his accidents. It is really going great. I must give him great props. It could be so much worse.

The count today:

Wet accidents: 3
BM accidents: 1
# of times he WENT on the potty: 5
# of times he SAT on the potty: 12
Macade breakdowns: 1 (When he had to clean his underwear that he pooped in. He hates it, but its how he will learn i believe!!)
Mom breakdowns: 0!!! (And thats without Cory home!)

Overall a great day. He even went once while we were out and about and stopped at a restaurant just to use the restroom. He sat on it and went!! WOOHOO! now that is accomplishment!!!!!!!

Macade Potty Training--Day #2

Ok, so day 2 of the potty training business. Really? It is hard work. I will be glad when its over...whenever that will be! But i must say that Macade is really smart and is an easy candidate for this, considering he is only 25 months!

Todays count:

Wet Accidents: 4 (one was at a friends house while on a quick errand...understandable for a newbee)
Poop Accidents: 1
# of times he WENT on the potty: 5 (with one poop!!)
# of times he SAT on the potty: 15
Macade breakdowns: 0
Mom Breakdowns: 2

This by itself should be called a full time job. With the laundry, and the cleaning, and the patience there seems to be no end. A breakdown is bound to happen. You would think it was the little boy crying in his room considering with accidents he has to clean it up, underwear and all. But nope, nope, not in my house...its the mom. Unless its a poopy underwear he has to clean, he hates that! Stressful business potty training is, but it will be worth it and i promise i am going to stick it out!!! So Far So Good!

Macade Potty Training--Day 1

Ok so about a week ago Cory and I decided it was time to start potty training Macade. He is a bright and intellegent little boy and likes to sit on the potty. It has been hard for me because those of you who know me i like to see immediate results. if i don't see them i get very frustrated and tend to give up. Well with lots of prayers, counting, and breathing i have made it through day number one. And i must say it was a pretty successful day.

Here is the Count:

Wet Accidents: 3!!!
Poop Accidents: 1
# of times He went in the Potty: 3
# of times he sat on the potty: 16

And this included a trip to the store with no accidents and a potty sitting time. YEAH!!
