Marvel at the Masterpiece

So if you know me you know that i love to make desserts and do them all up so they look gormet. You know that we eat with our eyes first for presentation is everything! I like to say thank you to people by making them a little goodie. usually a yummy dessert! So here is my latest for my mother-in-law since she woke up at 2 in the morning to drive 45 minutes to our house to stay with Macade while i was in labor with Braxton. So friends, do something nice for the Ross'; paticularly Tessa:-) and you may get a yummy goodness as well. Lets just marvel!! This was a Brownie Cheesecake!

KAYLINN--18 DAYS

I headed down to California this weekend for Kaylinn's Bridal Shower. it was so much fun to see her and celebrate this very exciting and very long awaited time! She is so happy I love being around her. I can honestly say i don't remember ever seeing her this happy, except when she is with me of course;-) It was a quick trip so that Macade could stay home with Cory over the weekend. What a special time. And i was so bad at pictures i did not capture any of the great weekend!

Except--of the cute little cousins. Lesley and I were having way too much fun taking pictures of the cuties of the house! Carter was born small and Braxton was born big, so put them together they look the same age even thought Carter is 2 months older. It makes us laugh! They are so cute together though!

Ode to Joy

I just have to express my excitment. Braxton is now 5 1/2 weeks old and last night he slept 8 hours:-) Macade was sleeping through the night at about 6 weeks so i am praying and praying that God blesses me with that miracle again! I love the Babywise program. it has not failed me yet!!

We Are Made To Forget!

Obviously God programmed us to forget about the many negatives of child bearing so that we will continue to do so. Today i am trying to pack some clothes to head down to my sisters bridal shower in Cali. Of course i want to feel cute considering i will be next to my all so beautiful sister i have to look some what presentable! Trying on some of cutest shirts i find that none fit. it is not because of the extra little chub that still lingers on my hips, tummy and love handles that the diet has not yet hit. But it is the ENORMOUS boobs that God has blessed me with this child. Nothing fits around these monsters. They either pull the shirt funny or makes the long shirt not so long because the extra fabric to make it long is now used to cover the oh so wonderful mountains on my chest! Oh the joy of breastfeeding! Lets just say that we are programmed to forget these things otherwise why would we do it again!!!

Crafty

I always try to do something fun once or twice a week that is different and allows Macade and I to spend some good time together. Today we made Catepillars. He loved doing the glue and picking the different colors. He is so proud of his crafts he likes to have them displayed on the fireplace!

Adorable

I was trying to get some pictures of Braxton for our family wall. There is one of Macade naked with a blue blanket that the studio took. Well i tried to recapture that same shot with Braxton so that they can be side by side on the wall. I think his turned out alright for no pro! Although the subject makes the picture and i had a pretty good one!

Braxton was blessed today. Cory gave a beautiful blessing. His family was able to come down for it which meant so much to me. It is so nice to have some family close by to share these special times with. We were able to find a blessing outfit that matched Macades little suit. So they both wore it but Macade was out of his too fast to catch a picture. I will have to get one next sunday with both of them!!

"Cooking"

Macade loves to pretend he is cooking with his friends (his stuffed animals) I caught a picture of it. He brings out all of the silverware, his bowls and cups, and sets up his animals and pretends to cook and eat with them. Adorable!!

Cutie Pies

I love being a mom. And being a mom of 2 is twice as wonderful. Macade loves Braxton so much. He wants to help with everything. And he really is helpful, i dont know what i would do without him!! Life is an adjustment but very well worth it. I am figuring out the ropes quick though. It helps that i have 2 perfect angles for sons. Macade, if you know him, is so mellow and really an easy child. Braxton is like clock work already at 2 weeks and only wakes up once at night. He eats at 10pm, 3am, and 6:30am. then every 3-31/2 hours through out the day! he is happy and hardly cries unless he needs something. I am so blessed with good kids! I always say it is God bribing me to have more:-)

Starting at 2am in the morning on Friday the 6th i woke up with contractions. I was at home for about 2 hours and then headed to the hospital when they were 5 minutes apart and strong. After 5 hours at the hospital, 7 1/2 hours of labor and a lot of excruciating pain, Braxton Jonathan Ross was born at 9:35 am. 9 lbs 5 oz, 21.5 inches long. We are so excited to have another little boy in our family.

Still Counting!

So just a quick update since everyone is asking me. No i have not yet had the baby but soon. My due date is tomorrow, Friday the 6th. I saw the doctor again for the second time this week and am dialated to a 4. Just 2 days ago i was a 3 so things are moving fast! I am thinned out more than 50%. My doc commented that the baby is riding REALLY low! which means a fast delivery. And i must say i deserve a fast one since macade was 30 hours!! So the doc says he will be surprised if he does not come in the next day or so. But if not, i am scheduled to be induced on Sunday morning:-). I am so glad that there is an end in sight. I just want to hold him so bad. I can not wait. Wish me Luck!!
